Tasks, at times, are performed under hazardous conditions and employees are expected to be particularly alert and careful. Under general supervision, employees are required to exercise some initiative and independent judgment in completing assigned tasks. Work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion by observation and through results obtained.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma/GED; one (1) year of experience in the operation of assigned equipment required; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions. CDL Class A license required upon hire; tanker endorsement required upon hire or within 90 days of hire.DefinitionModerately complex equipment, normally over 26,000 GVW, can be operated after an informal training session of two to four weeks. The equipment is normally operated by one (1) employee on public roadways.
